DSP Algorithms
SPA's engineers have worked extensively with DSP cores, having developed specialized computation units to complement the core's instruction set using the external register interface. This, in turn, allowed SPA's software professionals to utilize an expanded instruction set to minimize the computation time and ROM space used by several vector quantization-based compression algorithms.

DSP Software Development
Successful turnkey solutions require a close integration of hardware and software skills. The SPA software team provides the intimate knowledge of operating system software needed to ensure the success of system design at the chip, board, or application level.

The team is conversant with signal processing solutions on the following standard digital signal processors:

In every case, SPA's solutions have been tailored to the chip's Instruction Set, Pipeline Architecture and Native Assembler or C Compiler.

DSP Board Design
Many of the turnkey projects that we have delivered have required the development of unique DSP boards, some of which were designed for operation in rugged, hazardous and Mission Critical environments. Others have been designed for a variety of commercial applications, such as a CD Quality Audio Signal Processing Unit, and Control Systems.
